​ResumeSynch ("we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered resume and cover letter tailoring services at resumesynch.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

• Resume content: When you upload a resume, we process its text content (work history, skills, contact details if included) solely to generate your tailored documents.

• Job description text: The job posting text you paste in, used to match your resume against.

• Contact information: Any name, email, phone, or LinkedIn URL you choose to enter for inclusion in your generated documents.

• Payment information: Purchases are processed entirely by Gumroad, our payment provider. We do not collect or store your card details — Gumroad handles that under its own privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to:

• Generate your tailored resume and cover letter

• Calculate your ATS match score

• Verify your purchase and track remaining credits via your license key

We do not sell, rent, or share your resume content or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Processing

To generate your documents, your resume and job description text are sent to Google's Gemini AI API for processing. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own API terms and privacy practices. We do not control or have visibility into Google's internal data retention beyond what their API terms specify.

Payments are processed by Gumroad. Refer to Gumroad's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment information.

Data Retention

We do not maintain a persistent database of customer resumes or generated documents. Your uploaded resume and generated files exist only for the duration of your active session and are not stored on our servers afterward. Your remaining credit balance is tracked via Gumroad's license key system, tied to the license key itself rather than to any personal profile we maintain.

Your Choices

Since we don't retain your resume content after your session ends, there's no stored personal data on our end to request deletion of beyond what's noted above. If you have questions about data Google or Gumroad may retain, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

ResumeSynch is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, individuals under 16.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of ResumeSynch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
